Well... Gems ARE supposed to be hidden!

It is always good to travel by bus!

Once you step into a bus, you meet a whole lot of people with various appearances, various smells, various interests and various mindsets. Although at times it is somewhat painful to bear the experience, sometimes it is like a school, where there are so much to learn.

I thought of making a note of an incident happened while I was on my way to office. The bus I was coming was not that much crowded, except at the doors. The conductor was telling (he was not shouting) the passengers to move front, so that more people can get on. There was an old gentleman standing near the back door and he refused to move to the front and started yelling at the conductor. I thought a fight might start, as it is the common scenario to be expected. But I was quite shocked to hear the answer of the conductor as I never expected such a response.

"මහත්තයා, ඉස්සරහට යන්න බැරි නම් ඔහොම ඉන්න. කේන්ති ගන්න එපා. උදේ පාන්දර කේන්ති ගත්තම දවසම ඔය කේන්තියෙන්මනෙ ඉන්න වෙන්නෙ"

("Sir, if you don't want to move forward, stay there. Do not get angry. If you are angry so early in the morning, you will have to spend the whole day with that anger.")

He said calmly!

At that moment I realized, the best lessons of life are not found in literature, but in the lives of the most ignored members of the society.

It is true that people differ from each other
like the fingers of the hand.
But
the fact that there exist people of this type
is certainly a bliss.
